A Word Of Thanks
Dear Gary: My wife, Charlotte Wagner, was the winner of the JVC D-VHS D-Theater deck giveaway. She received her recorder yesterday. In less than two hours we had it set up... fully functional to show D-VHS D-Theater movies. We have a 64-inch SharpVision HDTV Rear Projection TV. We invited several couples to view the movies with us. We played Terminator 2, U-571, and X-Men all last night! Remarkable pictures and sound. Other folks have done quite technical reviews and given a “critical eye and ear” to the presentation. With the exception of one individual, all the couples who viewed the movies last night are “non-videophiles.” Everyone was very excited by the new media, and literally raved about the picture quality. We didn’t do any comparisons...we didn’t have to. Two neighbors are out today searching for a recorder for themselves. Please convey mine and Charlotte’s personal word of thanks to Jim Bertz and Maryellen Oswald for their help in having the recorder sent to us. Thanks to all of you for the presentations, which literally blew us out of our seats.
