Dear Gary:Some high speed comments.1.) I LOVE your magazine! Keep up the great work.2.) I LOVE your Web site and the ability you offer to purchase D-VHS pre-recorded tapes. I have purchased seven. One problem. The JVC HM-DH30000U needs to be cleaned with the recommendedJVC D-VHS head cleaner rather frequently. Otherwise picture digital noise and audio drop outs appear for the first several minutes after the insertion of a pre-recorded tape. Can you put the JVC manufactured D-VHS head cleaner tape on your Web site (for sale) or at least direct me (and all your other customers) to a source for the head cleaning tape? No one seems to have it!Here’s the best one I heard at retail in reference to the JVC D-VHS head cleaner:Location Nashua, New Hampshire Best Buy.Me: (while showing the Best Buy sales rep the laser printed page from the JVC Web site) Do you have this JVC DFC-2 D-VHS head cleaning tape?BB: We don’t carry JVC.Me: Yes you do. Look at the JVC high-def D-VHS D-Theater VCR you have right there behind you for sale at $799.BB: (dumb look at D-VHS deck)Me: Look, I bought the JVC deck the other day and I now need the JVC D-VHShead cleaning tape.BB: Did you buy the extended warranty?Me: No, why do you ask?BB: Because if you did, they clean the heads for you as part of the extended warranty.Me: This machine needs cleaning after every movie according to an excellent tech I know.BB: (dumb look at me then a weak) Really? (pause) I think that would be covered by the extended warranty if you brought it in to our service department.Me: Thanks. Good bye.Don’t you just love retail “help?”
