Dear Gary:I have a Pioneer receiver model number DSX-d608. When I set up the channel levels using a sound level meter, the Dolby Digital LFE channel is 10 dB higher than the main channels. That, according to Dolby, is correct. However, the DTS LFE level is 10 dB lower in level (the same level as the main channels). What is the correct level for the LFE channel in DTS?

The +10 dB inband gain on the LFE channel is observed in the LFE monitor level used in mastering, prior to any encoding. Therefore, it is correct for both DTS and Dolby Digital.
