Based on the graphic novel written by Steve Niles, Remains is set in a chilling post apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, and follows the survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world's population to zombies. The group takes refuge in a vacant casino and fights a losing battle against the undead, who grow steadily stronger, smarter, and more aggressive by the minute. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary, the short film Remains: Road To Reno a prequel (HD 11:05), bloopers (HD 04:04), TV spots, the trailer, and a Comic-Con teaser.

The 1.78:1 1080p AVC picture is a low-budget, undistinguished quality, though, at times resolution is crisp and imagery satisfying. But the inconsistencies are distracting. Still, the picture has its satisfying moments. Detail is at times revealing of zombie makeup and object texture. Grain also permeates each scene, which conveys a rawness to the imagery. Overall, this is a very mediocre viewing experience.(Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ soundtrack is limited to two-channel stereo, though, dynamic sounding with a lower-frequency boost. Dialogue sounds way forward, with extremely poor spatial delineation. The music is dynamic sounding, and various sound effects are riveting at times. This is a mediocre sonic experience, though, serviceable. (Gary Reber)
