In V/H/S, a group of criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a video tape from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere. They soon realize that the job isn't going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are teated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each more terrifying than the last. (Gary Reber)

Special features include cast and crew commentary, an alternate ending (10/31/98) (01:32), the featurettes More Tuesday The 17th (HD 02:38) and Amateur Night—Balloon Night (HD 03:33), Webcam interviews (HD 13:34), cast and crew interviews (HD 28:42), AXS TV: A Look At V/H/S (HD 04:51), a photo gallery, a conceptual design gallery, theatrical trailers, and upfront previews.

While the picture is encoded presented at 1.78:1 1080p in the AVC format, quality is undistinguished and sub par—basically bloody disgusting. Therefore, since there are numerous imperfections, there is no point to evaluating the picture quality. It is essentially worse than mediocre. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio™ 5.1-channel is a mess. While deep bass is prominent, the fidelity is poor and irritating. This is an undistinguished sonic experience with no music score and basically a lot of disturbing noise. (Gary Reber)
