WSR Narrative Review |

Story Synopsis:
Zebrahead won the Filmmakers Trophy for best feature film at the Sundance Film Festival in 1992. Written and directed by Anthony Drazen, it is a story about race relations and interracial relationships in the 1990s. Zack Glass (Michael Rapaport) is a white, Jewish high school student in a predominately black neighborhood in urban Detroit. Dee Wimms (DeShonn Castle) is his black, best friend and Dee’s cousin Nikki (N’Bushe Wright) is his new love. Families, loyalty and prejudice influence their lives in this powerful story of human interaction.
LaserDisc Picture:
The picture quality and the color accuracy on this disc are variable. Some scenes are sharp and bright and some are soft and tinted in various shades. The aspect ratio is 1.78:1.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The sound track is mostly thumping stereo in front with very slight and rare surround effects. There is an interesting variety of music presented including some original material by Taj Mahal.
