WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Geronimo! is the story of the legendary Apache leader Geronimo which stars blue-eyed Chuck Conners, TV’s The Riffleman. Produced by the same Levy-Laven-Gardner teleseries makers, the movie is full of familiar TV faces and was filmed on Mexican locations. In 1883, Geronimo and his small group of Apache warriors, under constant attack from both U.S. and Mexican military forces, agree to surrender under a treaty that promises food, land and respect. The promises are broken and the Apaches are consigned to lives of poverty, while their land is sold out from under them. This leads to endless Apache raids for food and arms and the end of a ravaged era in American history.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been re-composed to a reduced picture area then matted to 2.20:1. Overall, it has an overly bright look, particularly in interior scenes which appear unnaturally in staged television studio sets. Otherwise picture quality is good with natural fleshtone hues and some artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is monaural. It is well recorded with full range response.
