WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Flesh And Bone is a mesmerizing psy-chological thriller set in rural America about a vending machine distributor (Dennis Quaid) and a woman (Meg Ryan) who meet in a honky tonk and are attracted to each other. She turns out to be the sole survivor of a botched robbery when he was a child accomplice to his father (James Caan) killing her family, she being the left-behind baby girl. As the plot evolves, he ends up in a confrontation with his father, having to make a tragic decision as they both realize who she is.

LaserDisc Picture:
Matted to 1.86:1, the picture is well composed photographically. The picture has a very natural, warm look with a soft focus. Colors are consistently accurate. Fleshtone hues are exemplary and interior scenes are rendered naturally. Artifact free, this is a terrific looking film that is sure to please.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundrack is extremely dynamic and noteworthy for its delicately soft quite passages particularly in the opening dramatic scene. Effects have been directionalized to good effect, and the musical score produces excellent bass extension down to 25 Hz! This was originally release theatrically in DTS digital.
