WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Wayne’s World 2 is the boisterous comedy announcing another return of late-night TV personalities Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey). Obnoxious and silly, Wayne’s World 2 zig-zags through a plot which seeks to answer Wayne’s eternal question: “Is there life after cable?” The answer is revealed in a dream by the very famous rock star, Jim Morrison, thus inspiring Wayne and Garth to initiate a “Waynestock.” Star appearances from Christopher Walken and Kim Basinger are both surprising and treatful in this hilarious romp.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted at 1.85:1. Colors are vivid and fleshtones appear naturally rendered throughout. Images are sharp-ly focused with excellent detail. Blacks are solid and shadow detail is good. No artifacts otherwise mar the picture and Wayne’s World fans will find the presentation pleasing.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has some overall effective directional effects and is well recorded. The concert scenes have an extremely aggressive surround presence which with the heavy rock is perfectly suited. Overall the sound is appropriately spatial and enveloping.
