WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Dangerous Game is a movie within a movie featuring the captivating Harvey Keitel as Eddie Israel, a film director who gets obsessively entangled with his production about an abusive relationship. Eddie finds himself slipping into a haunting trap when he becomes increasingly involved with his leading lady (Modonna) and the scripted violence of his project intertwines off the set and into the actors’ lives as well as his own.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture has yellowish tinted fleshtones and a filtered haze look to interior scenes. Some grain is apparent but otherwise blacks are deep and the images are sharp and detailed. The framing is ex-tremely tight and tops of heads are often cut out of the picture.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Natural set dialogue is featured and there is the occasional surround envelopment that heightens the drama.
