WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Real McCoy is a caper story about a reformed cat burglar (Kim Basinger) who is blackmailed into doing one last job by some past associates, and must use all her talents and technical wizardry to execute the $18 million bank heist, outwit her enemies and stay alive.

LaserDisc Picture:
The movie starts out with a fantastic opening burglary sequence which establishes the first-rate picture quality on this 1.85:1 digital video transfer. Natural flesh tones, solid blacks and excellent shadow detail are highlighted by the excellent contrast and vivid colors. The images are very sharp with no apparent noise artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack, released in DTS™ digital, is well recorded. It sounds superb with a subtle surround and excellent bass extension. There is a wonderful score by Marc Shiman.
