WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
So I Married An Axe Murderer is a romantic comedy starring Mike Myers as Charlie Mackenzie, the marriage-shy coffee house poet who falls in love with the perfect woman profile, a smart and glowing beauty, Harriet Michaels, played by Nancy Travis. This time Charlie is determined to overcome his fears, he is ready for a commitment, but for one slight flaw, his paranoia that she could be a serial axe murderer.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture is matted at 1.85:1. Flesh tones are generally accurate and natural, and the colors are vivid with an overall soft appearance. The picture is marred, however, by noise artifacts which cloud detail and sharpness.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has a jazzy score by Bruce Broughton that’s great and effectively sets the tone for the movie. Other music selections are popular pop recordings. Except for the music this is essentially a mono film. You can often hear dialogue punch-ins.
