WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Spirited look at the world of ballroom dancing with Mercurio as a hotshot dancer sure to become Australia’s next ballroom king. But the dancer is more interested in improvising his own steps than sticking to established rules, and further outrages his family and friends when he chooses a clumsy novice (Morice) to be his new partner.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted to 1.85:1. Color fidelity is inconsistent and colors are a bit over saturated in some scenes, but emotionally vivid. The picture is a bit soft overall, but there are no glaring artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
A wonderful music soundtrack that will have you tapping to its rhythmic emotion. There is a subtle surround envelopment but strictly with the music. Otherwise the sound is conventional movie “S-Mono.”
