WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Striking Distance is an action mystery thriller starring Bruce Willis and Sarah Jessica Parker. Willis’ Tom Hardy is a maverick homicide detective in Pittsburgh, torn between the memory of his cop father, the influence of his family and the truth about a psychotic murderer. He has been demoted to harbor patrolman because he rocked the boat in pursuit of a sadistic serial killer who he believed to be a fellow police officer.

LaserDisc Picture:
The matted 1.85:1 transfer is excellent with very natural looking color and flesh tones. Images are sharp and the shadow detail is first rate. The picture is virtually artifact free with no apparent noise.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is a winner! The surrounds effectively create an involving soundfield experience. Bass extension is deep down to 35Hz in the surrounds and dialogue, music and effects are well recorded.
