WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Wilder Napalm is an joyous offbeat, love triangle comedy that stars Dennis Quaid and Arliss Howard as two brothers who have a pyrokinetic power to start fires. Both brothers are in love with the same woman, the flamboyant wife of Wilder (Howard), Ida, who is herself an arsonist (Debra Winger). This leads to a Cain and Abel predicament, with the broth-ers using their flame throwing talents instead of more sedate weapons. As a subplot Wallace (Quaid) decides to go public with his firestarter stunt as “Dr. Napalm,” but his brother refuses to allow this and engages Wallace in a scorchingly funny dual to the death.
