Story Synopsis:
Blinded since the age of eight, a young musician (Stowe) undergoes a new operation and regains partial sight, only to witness the fleeing figure of a neighbor’s killer passing through her apartment corridor. Was her vision real or one of the unusual side effects (blurry vision, delayed reactions, hallucinations) of the operation? Only the murderer knows for sure!
LaserDisc Picture:
The picture is presented at 2.32:1. Color fidelity is good with vivid colors, deep blacks and excellent shadow detail. Fleshtones are rendered natural. Grain is apparent in the dark scenes, but otherwise the artifacts are mirror and not distracting.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The musical score is terrific and provides a wonderful spatial envelopment, as well as other effects a nice ambiance. Dialogue is always natural and intelligible.
