WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Naked Gun 33 1/3 The Final Insult is the latest in this outrageously funny series. This time our bumbling comic hero, Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) is enjoying his retirement from the police force until his old partners (George Kennedy and O.J. Simpson) beg him to help them out with some undercover work. With our hero’s usual air of deadpan ignorance, he covers as an inmate in order to get acquainted with the terrorist Rocco (Fred Ward) and becomes part of his gang in order to stop the plot to bomb the Academy Awards. With actors galore this gag-packed comedy is once more one of the best visually funny adult comedies.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.83:1 matted transfer provides very sharp focus and detail with excellent contrast, natural fleshtones, deep blacks, and natural color density. The picture is sure to please.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
As before the Dolby Surround® soundtrack is great and punctuates the fast-paced action. with aggressive sound effects.
