WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Serial Mom is a dark comedy that stars Kathleen Turner as Beverly Sutphin, a most perfect suburban homemaker. Unfortunately, she has no tolerance for other people’s imperfections nor for anyone who upsets her family, so she takes it upon herself to rid the world of polluters, busybodies and the inconsiderate.

LaserDisc Picture:
The artifact-free picture has been re-composed at 1.63:1. The picture exhibits vivid colors, deep blacks and excellent shadow detail. Fleshtones are rendered natural.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is essentially a conventional movie mix which delegates the “stereo” to the music score, although the sound reaches out with some effective directional sound effects. Dialogue is always intelligible.
