Story Synopsis:
Threesome is a comedy about co-ed dorm life, friendship and a trio’s awkward yet meaningful relationship. When Alex, play-ed by Lara Flynn arrives as a 3rd roommate to jock Stuart (Stephen Baldwin) and the more sensitive Eddy ( Josh Charles) she is at first antagonistic and standoffish. Soon she is attracted to the intellectual Eddy, whose big words ‘turn her on’. But Eddy is uncomfortable, feeling more attracted to men, a discovery he has not yet made. Stuart wants to seduce Alex, who has eyes only for Eddy. In this frustrating situation they call a truce, and decide to deal with friendship only, creating some hilarious yet unforgettable mo-ments between the now inseparable trio before a sexual threesome encounter brings a final sobering moment.
LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted at 1.83:1. Images are detailed and the color is vivid with good contrast and natural fleshtones. Shadow detail is good as are blacks. The transfer has virtually no artifacts except for a very slight grain evident in the dark scenes.
LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack features a well recorded pop music score and a natural sense of subtle ambient envelopment.
