WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
“I Love Trouble” is an action comedy hit both predictable and witty. Nick Nolte plays a famous womanizing Chicago columnist, Peter Brackett, who decides to return to the streets as an investigative reporter after a high-profile story leads him on the trail of a murder. There he meets Sabrina Peterson (Julia Roberts), the beautiful and ambitious neophyte reporter from a rival paper, who suspects that a recent train wreck has big-story potential. The two attempt to out-investigate each other amidst charm and romance while the plot spins with action-packed comedy.

LaserDisc Picture:
The solid, artifact-free picture is matted at 1.85:1. Color fidelity is excellent with solid blacks and natural fleshtones. Images are sharp and detailed and shadow detail is excellent particularly in the nighttime scenes. There is no distracting noise or grain to mar the attraction.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
A wonderful soundtrack that projects strong ambient surround envelopment. Great dynamics and deep, extended powerful bass add to the aggressive surround effects. A great David Newman music score adds to the excitement.
