WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Intersection is a slow and melancholy romantic drama starring three of today’s hottest stars. Richard Gere takes the lead as Vincent Eastman, a highly acclaimed architect in Vancouver, Canada whose personal life is on the rocks. Separated from his beautiful but aloof wife (Sharon Stone), Vincent has an affair with an outgoing journalist (Lolita Davidovich) whose love promises a new beginning. But Vincent can’t shake his past with his wife and daughter, and remains emotionally torn between the two women. As his relationships start to fall apart, Vincent embarks on a course of self-realization and discovery where he must face his true feelings and the difficulty of his predicament. The story unfolds in a series of arresting flashbacks that are then interwoven throughout the film.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 matted picture is filtered for a soft look. Fleshtones are natural and blacks are deep. There is slight grain and noise in the darker scenes, but otherwise no artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack delivers nice touches of subtle surround envelopment provided by the lush orchestra score and effects.
