WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Little Big League is a family comedy adventure about a young boy’s dream and love of baseball. The story chronicles one summer in the life of 12-year old Billy Heywood (Luke Edwards), a youngster enthusiast who miraculously falls upon control of the Minnesota Twins after the sudden death of his grandfather-owner. Billy moves from in-name heir and installs himself as manager to shape up the hurting team and put great fun and success back into the spirit of of the game. Emphasizing the game, the film charms with a seasonal mix of real actors and actual sports celebrities.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted at 1.85:1. Striking and vivid colors highlight the solid, artifact-free transfer. Fleshtones are natural, blacks are deep and the picture is sharp and detailed with no apparent grain or noise.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is disappointing for a crowd packed stadium sports movie that does not deliver a sweeping and aggressive surround presence. The sound is less dynamic than is expected except for Brooker T & The MG’s.
