WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Seventh Sign is a supernatural thriller based on the “Seven Signs Of The Apocalypse” and stars Demi Moore as Abby, a pregnant woman who can save the world with the safe delivery of her baby. When she rents out her apartment to world-traveller David Banner (Jurgen Prochnow), strange things start happening. He tells her a story of a place where souls are kept for each newborn baby, and how the final sign designates the end of the world when there are no souls left. She comes to realize that prophesies have started and is afraid David means to harm her baby.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture is framed at the scope 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Images are sharp and detailed, and the color is vivid with good contrast and natural fleshtones. Shadow detail is good as are blacks. The transfer has few artifacts but there is slight grain and noise evident in the dark scenes.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack projects a natural sense of subtle ambient envelopment and the occasional aggressive surround effect.
