WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Milk Money is a romantic comedy starring Melanie Griffith who plays the part of V, a charming working girl with a heart of gold and Ed Harris, a nature-loving teacher and widower who is too busy for romance. When his son, 12-year-old Frank Wheeler (Michael Patrick Carter) and his two school pals decide to pool their money for a peek at a naked lady in the big city they discover V, the woman of their dreams. V becomes stranded in suburbia when the car she drives the boys home in won’t start and Frank steps in with a great idea on how she can become the perfect wife for his Dad. All the while V tries to escape her past as a hoodlum (Malcolm McDowell) comes after her.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture is sharp and detailed with some slight grain and noise. Fleshtones are inconsistent but blacks are deep and solid. Picture quality overall is wanting.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has some effective mo-ments which suggest a soundfield. Effects are surround enhanced in some scenes. Fidelity is very good overall. The music score is pleasant and provides subtle envelopment.
