WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Terminal Velocity is a high-flying action adventure with daredevil skydiving sequences that will have even the most jaded action genre fans on the edge of their seats. Charlie Sheen stars as Ditch Brodie, an extreme skydiving instructor and event performer who is being blamed for the death of first-time jumper Chris Morrow (Kinski). After viewing the tape of the jump, Ditch suspects foul play and finds that not only is Morrow alive, but that she is a former KGB agent trying to fend off the Russian mafia who wants her dead.

LaserDisc Picture:
Produced under the quality assurance THX® Laser Disc Program, the picture has not been perfectly framed to mirror the scope 2.35:1 theatrical aspect ratio. Instead the framing is 2.29:1. The picture is exemplary in sharpness, color fidelity, contrast, shadow detail, and black level. Perfectly natural visually, there does not appear to be artifacts, nor distracting grain or noise.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Terminal Velocity was released theatrically exclusively in Dolby SR•Digital® and the Dolby Surround® soundtrack is superb. It is fully aggressive in the surrounds and dynamic throughout with excellent bass extension to below 25 Hz, even in the surrounds. The music score is consistently enveloping and there are plenty of engaging sound effects that enhance ambience and spatiality.
