WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
A Low Down Dirty Shame is a comedic action adventure written by Keenan Ivory Wayans who also directs and stars as the main character Andre Shame, a private investigator and ex-cop. Shame is hired by his former partner and DEA agent, Rothmiller (Charles Dutton) to recover $20 million in stolen drug money. With help from his sassy sidekick Peaches (Jada Pinkett) he finds his ex-lover, the beautiful Angela Flowers (Salli Rich-ardson) who leads him to Mendoza (Andrew Divoff), a drug lord thought to have been killed. Shame discovers he has been set-up by Rothmiller and now is in danger from all sides. With lots of gun-toting action Shame finds himself more than a match for anything that comes his way

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.78:1 matted picture is sharp and detailed, and natural in appearance. The picture, however, appears darker than desired, and brighter would be an improvement. Fleshtones are natural and blacks are deep and solid. There are virtually no artifacts or noise for a solid presentation.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has directional effects and a partially aggressive surround with a music score that provides subtle ambience.
