WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
In their thirst for power, the family of the beautiful Margot (Isabelle Adjani) forces her into a politically expedient marriage. She be-comes hopelessly entwined in their murderous affairs and trapped between the soldier who loves her and the powerful husband she loathes but the one that could save her. This is a story that vividly portrays passion, revenge and courage pitted against power, seduction and deception.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture has been matted at 1.78:1. Fleshtones are inconsistently rendered and color fidelity is poor for an uneven visual quality throughout. Noise is cast in the darker scenes, shadow detail is poor, and artifacts detract further from what should be a superlative presentation, one noted for its haunting cinematography.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby Surround® soundtrack is conventional with the music score providing a subtle surround envelopment.
