WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
This bio-epic saga sprawls Wyatt Earp’s (Costner) lifetime, in which one becomes familiar with most events of his life—his brothers, wives, jobs and places he lived—signifying a complete portrait of the man. The film magnificently recaptures the western frontier past.

LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® picture is framed at 2.38:1 and is overall stunning with several spectacular scenes of the western frontier. Interior scenes have been filtered to create an effect but color is excellent for a natural imagery. Some artifacts are visible but otherwise the picture transfer is gorgeous.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is well crafted with a wonderfully sweeping full orchestra score by James Newton Howard and an enveloping aggressive surround with effectively delivered Foley and sound effects. Wyatt Earp magnificently recaptures the western frontier past.
