WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Jules Verne’s classic Master Of The World combines two novels, Clipper Of The Clouds from 1886, known in America as Robur, The Conqueror, and Master Of The World from 1904. It is like an aerial version of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea with a huge air ship instead of a submarine. Vincent Price stars as Robur, a man who wants to destroy all evil, even if it means destroying the earth. “Disarm or perish!” demands Robur to the armies of all nations as this “peacekeeper” of the skies circles the globe in his Albatross airship to end war at any cost.

LaserDisc Picture:
The matted 1.85:1 picture is sourced from a print whose colors are over saturated and whose fleshtones are exaggerated. Images are sharp and detailed and noise and artifacts are but slight.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has stereo music score, but all else is undistinguished mono.
