WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Miami Rhapsody is a sexy romantic comedy with an all-star cast. Sarah Jessica Parker (Honeymoon In Vegas, Ed Wood) plays a young woman about to be married. Forced to confront the true essence of marriage when her boyfriend finally pops the question, she embarks on a comical journey to discover what relationships and marriage are all about. She finds out that among her own family, fidelity is not a highly ingrained tradition. The hilarity is continuous as she discovers the wild details of their many intertwined affairs. Antonio Banderas and Mia Farrow add to the de-lightfully comedic fun.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture is matted at 1.85:1 but is poorly rendered in terms of color accuracy. Colors are over saturated and fleshtones are extreme orange hued. Images appear as blobs of color without detail. And noise is visible in the darker scenes.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby Surround® soundtrack has a surround presence provided by a great jazz music score and occasional effect, but otherwise the experience is undistinguished mono.
