WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Three friends with a perfect apartment are in search for a perfect roommate, a task that seems impossible, that is until they decide on Hugo. When their charming new roommate dies the first day of occupancy, leaving a suitcase full of cash under his bed, the three friends dismember the body and bury it in the forest. But they soon find out that the money be-longed to some very bad guys who want it back. As they battle to survive against the hoods, and each other, their lives begin to turn sour, and each is suspect of the other until the unexpected end. This is a film with suspense at every turn where murder among friends turns into a “shallow grave.”

LaserDisc Picture:
The matted1.85:1 transfer lacks sharpness and detail. Fleshtones are inconsistent but colors are vivid and blacks are deep. Shadow detail is poor and the picture is faulted due to excessive noise throughout.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack features a music score that is well recorded with deep, solid bass and subtle surround envelopment. Otherwise, the sound is mono with a natural dialogue presence.
