WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
In the thrilling adventure Space Camp a group of teenagers with dreams of becoming astronauts, attend a special summer camp designed to teach them all about the NASA space program. When they are allowed to sit in an actual spacecraft during an engine test, something goes terribly wrong and they are accidentally launched into the weightless zero gravity world of outer space! Their survival depends on using their limited knowledge of what they have been taught at the camp to get back to earth alive. This is a wholesome adventure with blasts of fun for the whole family.

LaserDisc Picture:
The matted 1.87:1 picture captures the awe-inspiring backdrop of the stars and Earth as seen from space. Images are colorful and bright with deep, solid blacks and natural fleshtones. The picture is sharp and detailed with excellent contrast and absence of noise, grain and artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
John Williams stirring score provides the subtle surround envelopment which is otherwise wanting as well as deep bass .
