DVD To LaserDisc Comparison:
The picture quality is exemplary with eye-popping, vibrant colors, accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, and contrast is superb. The 2.38:1 picture has no noise or artifacts. First reviewed in Issue 20, receiving a 2.5 score for sound quality, this DTS® Digital Surround soundtrack presents a dramatically wider soundstage with improved imaging on the music score. Overall fidelity and presence is improved with better defined dialogue and effects. Still, surround envelopment is limited to mono surround. Overall a better presentation compared to the PCM, especially when it comes to fidelity
