WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Electra Glide In Blue tells the violent story of a headstrong motorcycle police officer in Arizona’s Monument Valley, who uses his brains to make up for what he lacks in height. Robert Blake stars as Officer John Wintergreen, a small man whose dream to make it with the big boys as a sheriff finally comes true when he exposes a murder. But a run-in with the sheriff’s (Mitchell Ryan) woman busts Wintergreen devastatingly back down to his bike—the Electra Glide. Filled with irony, this simple story is a captivating cult classic.

LaserDisc Picture:
The Panavision® Scope picture, framed at 2.35:1, exhibits faded color fidelity with generally natural fleshtones and dull blacks. Noise and artifacts mar the images in many scenes, making it look unappealing and muddy. The picture is wanting in sharpness and detail with poor shadow detail. There are some minor inconsistencies due to the few scenes that do look natural or defined.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack sounds dated and is predominantly monaural except for the music score and occasional directional effects. Background hum and noise can be heard in some scenes.
