WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Horrors Of The Black Museum is a fantastic horror murder mystery about a crime reporter (Michael Gough) who uses a hypnotized assistant to commit gruesome murders. Based on tools of murder actually found in The Black Museum in Scotland Yard, a young woman is pierced through the eyes with needles protruding from a pair of binoculars. A second woman is murdered by a portable guillotine. But after a woman is killed in The Tunnel Of Love, the police learn see the connection between the madman and the reporter.

LaserDisc Picture:
The CinemaScopeŽ picture, framed precisely at 2.35:1, is entirely unnatural looking with bright oversaturated colors. The colors are so plugged up and undefined, the people look like mannequins with their inaccurate fleshtones. Images are wanting in sharpness and detail. Shadow detail is poor and undefined. Noise and artifacts are apparent throughout.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is undistinguished monaural with a compressed and distorted sound.
