WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Hotel De Love is an Australian comedy about first loves and second chances. Fraternal twins Rick (Aden Young) and Stephen (Simon Bossell) fall in love with the same beautiful girl (Saffron Burrows)—and both lose her when she goes off to college. Ten years later, they meet up with Melissa again at the fatuous Hotel de Love, and the old feelings come rushing back to Rick and Stephen. Melissa, on the other hand, is almost engaged but still can wreak romantic havoc with the twins.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.82:1, exhibits inconsistencies throughout. In the beginning of the film, images are wanting in sharpness and detail with oversaturated colors. As the film progresses, sharpness improves and colors seem more vibrant and natural. Sometimes the picture seems a bit dark. Only the slightest noise is sometimes apparent, but there are no detected artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is conventional with a monaural presence, except for the music score which, while in stereo, is pulled toward the center
