WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Based on the true-life story of physicist Richard Feynman, Infinity tells of the special love he had for the beautiful Arline Greenbaum (Patricia Arquette). Richard and Arline develop an inseparable bond when Arline is forced to cope with what doctors diagnose as an incurable disease. When the United States enter in World War II, Feynman was recruited to work on a top-secret government project to develop the first atomic bomb—a project he accepted because it allowed him to help Arline face their painful crisis.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.76:1, was filmed with rich and warm colors and exhibits generally natural fleshtones and deep solid blacks. Images are wanting in sharpness and detail with mediocre shadow detail and contrast. The picture is sometimes unnatural with oversaturated images that look muddy or plugged up in the darker scenes. Noise is apparent, but there are no artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack offers a terrific music score with old big band music that is well recorded. However, dialogue is often ADR-produced and wanting in spatial integration.
