WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Lady In White is a chilling ghost story that takes place on Halloween in 1962. Two young boys play a cruel joke on their fourth grade classmate, Frankie Scarlatti (Lukas Haas). Locked in the school cloakroom, he witnesses an eerie apparition. The spirit of a young girl in the grip of a mysterious killer begs Frankie to help put her spirit to rest. As Frankie closes in on the terrible truth, he does not realize the danger involved, or the evil that will confront him.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.82:1, is wanting in sharpness and detail, exhibiting an overall soft quality throughout. Shadow detail and contrast is mediocre. Colors are slightly oversaturated with orangish fleshtones and deep, undefined blacks. Slight noise and artifacts are apparent throughout.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Both the Dolby® Digital and linear PCM soundtracks are loud, but with a terrific music score that is well recorded. Split surround energy is not apparent in the Dolby Digital version and remains as the 4.0 printmaster mix. Dialogue is natural throughout. This is a soundtrack that is sure to please.
