WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
(German) Based on the German Comics “Der Bewegte Mann” and “Pretty Baby” by Ralf Kónig, Maybe...Maybe Not, is an outspoken comedy depicting a hilarious clash between two gender worlds. Axel is a handsome guy who messes up everything when he is caught with another woman by his girlfriend Dora. When she kicks him out of their flat, Axel has nowhere to go until he meets Norbert, a gay man who offers him a place to stay. Norbert immediately falls in love with Axel, but Axel is still in love with Dora, although he can’t seem to do anything right to win her back. When Dora announces she’s pregnant, she finds Axel and Norbert in a very embarrassing and compromising position.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.85:1, exhibits natural color fidelity and fleshtones with vibrant and warm colors and deep solid blacks. Images are generally sharp and detailed with good shadow detail and contrast. The slightest noise is apparent in some scenes and there are a few minor artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is very poorly produced stereo that is shrill and practically unbearable to listen to.
