WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Based upon Paul F. Fairman’s story “Deadly City,” Target Earth tells a science fiction tale that will leave you “paralyzed with fear!” When Nora King (Kathleen Crowley) wakes up to find her city suspiciously silent, she runs into Frank Brooks (Richard Denning), the only other person in the streets but who can’t remember what happened that night. Together, they realize the city has been evacuated—but why? In their search for answers, Frank and Nora meet a handful of others left behind only to discover an army of robots from another planet have invaded the Earth. As officials seek means of destroying the invaders, the survivors must run for their lives.

LaserDisc Picture:
The black and white picture, matted at 1.85:1, exhibits a generally natural grayscale with good contrast and shadow detail. Noise and distracting artifacts are apparent throughout. Images are soft overall and wanting in sharpness and detail.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is undistinguished monaural that sounds distorted and is incorrectly spread into the surround channel.
