WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Cats Don’t Dance is a purr-fect addition to any animated feature film collection. Danny (Scott Bakula), the song and dance cat from the small town of Kokomo, brought his lifelong dreams to reality when he stepped off a bus in Hollywood. But when Danny is exposed to the real Hollywood—a place where all roles go to the despicable child star Darla Dimple (Ashley Peldon)—he sets out to help his newfound friends break through the species barrier in Tinseltown.

LaserDisc Picture:
The matted 1.95:1 picture exhibits exemplary animation that is sharp and detailed with vibrant colors and deep, solid blacks. There is no noise or artifacts for an excellent presentation.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Both the Dolby Digital discrete and linear PCM soundtracks are wonderful and nicely recorded. The discrete version presents a slightly wider soundstage with split surrounds. The music score is filled with songs and an almost continuous presence throughout. This is an overall outstanding soundtrack.
