WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
My Best Friend’s Wedding is the charming romantic tale of how far (and how low) people will go in the game of love. Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) never knew she wanted to marry her best friend Michael (Dermot Mulroney), until he breaks the news of his engagement to the unbearably perky, but incredibly sweet, 20 year-old heiress Kimmy Wallace (Cameron Diaz). Now, ”Jules” has four days and the benefits of a resourceful, if devious, mind to try to get Michael back. With the creative use of a music score, an unpredictable ending and the scene-stealing co-star Rupert Everett, My Best Friend’s Wedding is another winning wedding comedy from P.J. Hogan.
