WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
G.I. Jane is the story of Navy Intelligence Officer Lt. Jordan O’Neil (Demi Moore), who sets a historic precedent when she is recruited as a test case to be the first woman to train for the highly covert operations unit known as the Navy SEALs. Expected to fail by her commanding officer, Master Chief John Urgayle (Viggo Mortensen) and her sponsor Senator Lillian DeHaven (Anne Bancroft), O’Neil risks everything in the recruits’ final exercise, when she must gather her courage—even at the cost of risking her own life—to save the Master Chief and her first mission as a Navy SEAL.
