WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Matchmaker is a quirky romantic comedy that stars cynical comedienne Janeane Garofalo as Marcy, sent on business to a small Irish town during its annual matchmaking festival. Her employer, Senator McGlory (Jay O. Sanders) has assigned her to locate his ancestors in the same town famous for John F. Kennedy, hoping it will help in his re-election. But with so many men and the festival, Marcy becomes sidetracked when she accidentally finds a match of her own in Sean (David O’Hara), a man even more cynical than herself.
