WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Monty Python’s Life Of Brian, originally called Brian Of Nazareth, is the outrageous comedy that has probably offended every religious denomination on Earth. It follows the life of a Canaanite named Brian (Graham Chapman), living in the time of Christ and, through a series of coincidences and misunderstandings, ends up on the cross.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.88:1 picture exhibits some inconsistencies in color fidelity. Although generally natural, colors often appear washed out, while other times plugged-up. Images are wanting in sharpness and detail with mediocre shadow delineation and contrast. Noise and artifacts are apparent throughout.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack, credited as Dolby® Surround and made from the original stereo magnetic tracks, sounds to be monaural and spread across the three front channels, with the slightest separation in the music score. Surround is subtle and reproduces the entire soundtrack, including dialogue.
