WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Based on the characters created by Gregory Widen, The Prophecy II features Christopher Walken reprising his role as the menacing archangel Gabriel. While driving down the seedy streets of Los Angeles, R.N. Valerie Rosales (Jennifer Beals) hits Danyael (Russell Wong), a mysterious stranger who literally drops from the sky. From that moment, she is unwittingly thrust in the middle of a war between the powers of good and evil.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.82:1, exhibits good color fidelity with natural fleshtones, rich and warm colors and deep solid blacks. Images are sharp and detailed with good contrast and shadow detail. Noise is apparent, especially in the darker scenes, but artifacts are virtually undetected.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® Surround matrix soundtrack is nicely spatial with aggressive surround, but it misses the mark with no deep bass. Had the bass been more powerful, this would have been a more effective presentation. Dialogue sounds natural and spatially integrated. The music score is well recorded with an expansive soundstage presence.
