WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
From the creators of Trainspotting comes Twin Town, an extreme comedy about the corruption of a small town and the battle for the ultimate revenge between “The Lewis Twins”—Julian (Llyr Evans) and Jeremy (Rhys Ifans)—and the wealthy Bryn Cartwright (William Thomas). After a construction accident leaves the Lewis twins’ father in the hospital, they decide to get even, unaware that Cartwright has the law on his side in the form of two corrupt cops—Terry (Dougray Scott) and Greyo (Dorien Thomas). When a prank goes horribly wrong, the twins are left without a family and Terry is left without an alibi.

LaserDisc Picture:
The 1.85:1 picture exhibits inconsistencies in color fidelity. Mostly oversaturated with loud, vibrant colors, fleshtones look reddish with deep, undefined blacks. Other scenes are overly bright with poor contrast. Slight noise and occasional artifacts are apparent. Images are sometimes sharp and detailed, while other times wanting.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® Surround soundtrack features a variety of fun music, though the sound varies throughout. Overall, the sound is quite spatial with natural dialogue and mostly subtle surround envelopment.
