WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
In Meet The Deedles, Stew and Phil Deedle (Steve Van Wormer and Paul Walker) are expelled from their Hawaiian surfer’s paradise, when their father (Eric Braeden) sends them to a Wyoming survival camp to “grow up.” Through a mix-up, the brothers are inducted into the Yellowstone Park Rangers and must stop a vengeful ex-Ranger (Dennis Hopper), who plans to steal Old Faithful before its billionth birthday celebration.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.82:1, is sharp and detailed with exceptional clarity, color fidelity and definition. All of the different locations in which this film was shot are beautifully presented.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The Dolby® Digital discrete 5.1 and matrix PCM soundtracks are often loud and, not only distorted, but bright and harsh. The discrete version sounds almost natural in sonic character but is still problematic at times. Dialogue is forward sounding and often ADR-processed with poor spatial integration. The music score is expansive sounding, especially on the Dolby Digital version with generally good bass that is punctuated with the .1 LFE channel.
