WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Brandon Lee, son of the legendary Bruce Lee and internationally acclaimed star of The Crow, stars in Legacy Of Rage, his only made-in-Hong-Kong movie. This gritty tale of brotherly betrayal and ruthless revenge features Lee as a man framed for a crime he didn’t commit—by his best friend. His is a story of unbound fury and sworn vengeance. Director Ronny Yu’s audio commentary is heard on the left analog channel, while the right analog features an English dubbed soundtrack. Five theatrical trailers are included.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, overmatted at 2.0:1, is riddled with inconsistencies. The picture is undefined in its oversaturated color rendering, and often appears hazy. Sometimes, but rarely do images look natural. Often all aspects of color balance will take on the predominant background color. Noise and artifacts mar the picture throughout. Images are always lack fine detail and definition. Shadow delineation is poor and the picture is almost always poorly contrasted. The second line of subtitles cannot be read on widescreen monitors.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is undistinguished mono that is distorted and irritatingly bright.
