WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Operation Condor 2: The Armour Of The Gods is in reality the prequel to the popular Operation Condor. Jackie Chan stars as a rock-and-roll singer turned soldier-of-fortune when his girlfriend falls for someone else. But when she is kidnapped by an evil cult, Jackie agrees to deliver the ransom demand—the priceless Armour Of The Gods... but he has to get his hands on it first!

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.82:1, exhibits some inconsistencies, but is generally pleasing in color balance. Sometimes colors are vibrant, but interior scenes appear slightly brownish. Shadow delineation is poor, and sometimes completely lacking in visual information. Images are generally sharp and detailed. Noise is often distracting, as are artifacts.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
Dubbed ADR-produced dialogue is prominent throughout this entertaining Dolby® Surround matrix soundtrack. Dialogue completely lacks spatial integration. Overall level is above reference, but the sound is very dynamic, especially the music score. The music wraps well into the surrounds, creating an aggressive soundfield presence. Spatial soundfield dimension provides an excellent holosonic experience. Bass is deep and natural.
